New York Times: The 30-Minute Interview
Read the New York Times interview with K. Thomas Elghanayan - 11/18/09.
Q. What types of deals are you looking into?
A. What we intend to do is buy, and I’m looking at a few deals of other developers who either put in a foundation and had to stop or are halfway up with the building and had to stop — so, very messy distressed deals.
We’re very capable of dealing with these messy deals. We are vertically integrated, meaning we have our own construction company, management company, sales and leasing, so we’re very hands-on. And we have a big pile of cash left over from the split.
